Friday- not particularly early morning, not late either

It totally slipped my mind until just now that it's supposed to rain today. Fortunately for me, rain doesn't start until this afternoon. I say that because the truck is pointed in the wrong direction - I am doing that now to keep the noise of that motor from reaching the park as much as possible. It's a very loud engine, I am projecting that sound towards the rear of the property instead of towards the RV's.

Anyway, I prefer to turn the truck around at the back where this is a turnaround in the gas production area.   This is the area they tried to tell me long ago that I "can't drive through there".  OH? It's my property, I'll drive where I please.  I had to become almost insolent with those people for they were acting like mini-gods to me, attempting to dictate what I could and couldn't do on "our lease" as they put it.  Your lease does not supersede my ownership of the property the lease is based on excepting you are allowed to do what the lease states you can do.

I can't turn the truck around, getting back to the point lol, if it rains.  It gets muddy back there and I already got stuck once after it had rained and a day's worth of drying had occurred.  I was able to back out of it, thankfully, left some pretty deep tire ruts in the ground. Nothing I will try again shortly after it rains, tomorrow after I get back I will just have to turn the thing around in the area I have designated for it, which is right in front of the motor coach and the other trailer behind the amenities shed.

A new guest has informed me that the router that is on the pole needs to be elevated well up above what it is now.  Yup, I know that.  Well, cell signals travel downwards, not upwards.  Yup.  You want to do it? lol.  I'll have to buy the longest 4X4 I can find at Lowe's, which is probably 16 feet, drop 4 feet of it in the ground and probably cement it in there for the assurance the thing isn't going to come down on top of a trailer nearby.  It's nothing on my priority list.  One person was complaining that it "keeps dropping the signal".  Nope, it's more likely too many devices trying to connect to it and why aren't you connected to the other router which is literally right there? He did that and I haven't heard a peep from him about it since.

It's that or buy a metal pole - somewhere - that is likely costly.  I would also have to deal with being able to get up that high on a ladder, it's just something I have put off.

I'm not feeling particularly motivated, I have to work tomorrow and Sunday so I would love to enjoy the day off, however, I must get at least a few things done over there.  I'm just sitting here drinking coffee and musing the things of life.  Nothing highly profound, things like how they must have loved me having to get 7 new tires on that trailer yesterday.  They have to approve it tho, I only wanted 5 on there, the Love's said it needed 7. Yeah, it did, but I didn't want to push it too far.  Of the 2 extra tires that needed replaced, one of them was severally dry rotted and the other had a small piece of the outer skin of the sidewall that apparently had been hit on something.

Someone had actually placed an X over it, noting it needed replaced but did nothing about it? What I'm finding is that the driver who gave me the local training here cares about keeping the trailers in good working order, everyone else? Not at all.  Everyone else are OTR drivers that are brought in to take a load here and there when their runs dry up and there is nothing to do.

The plant is taking forever to offload. We have conjectured several things that may have happened. The line may be clogged up - some of these drivers are not flushing the line out with water as required. A filter sock may have been swallowed up into the line or the product is too cold and has thickened substantially.  Whatever the case, I spent 4 hours dealing with tires yesterday and then 4 hours dealing with offloading.  I was on duty for 13 hours, even getting warnings that a "potential violation" will occur in X amount of minutes, the damn thing kept sending me those notices. It was a long day and probably why I"m not feeling particularly motivated to go work at the property.

However, I am fixing to get up, get my shoes on and get over there.  Maybe take a thermos of coffee.  It's cool out but not freezing cold. I'd take the dog but he won't stay in the doggy park, he just tries to get out and stands there whining.   Would love to take him for a walk but work calls first.

And the biggest thing on my mind over there right now is the driveway. It needs bladed. I don't have a grader in my back pocket.  I'm thinking to rent the tractor with the box attachment from the local rental company.  It's relatively cheap at $228 per day.  It's my only option right now, renting a grader is out of the question as there aren't any available rent anywhere nearby and hiring a person to do it would cost a thousand dollars or more.

I also am expecting Christmas off. I worked Thanksgiving and I'm working this weekend, that should - will - get me next weekend off and Monday as well.  I'm not going to give them an option on that one, I'll work New Years if it is necessary to get Christmas Day off.

And I'm waiting to see what this next paycheck is.  It should be more in the "normal" range of what I will be making on any given paycheck, what with having had worked quite a few more days than previous pay periods.  It's hard to make the goals I am making without understanding how these goals are going to be realized considering it's all based on income/outgoing expenses and what's left over.  Originally, I wanted to pay down a grand a month on debt, I haven't even started on that.  Way too many expenses have hit to be able to pay down much of anything.  That and smaller than necessary paychecks to even begin to start doing that.  I will see another paycheck on the 22cd.

As for now? Time to get out of here. The sun is still shining, the rain doesn't appear to start until around 4:00 pm now - it originally said 3 - that gives plenty of time to get some stuff done over there.

G'day.

Friday late-morning Typical morning when there is no work.  It was, I should say, until the new guy called.  "There's nothing wron...
