In other news, the people that paid for a lot for the month at the beginning of this month - but never showed, were over there a few minutes ago. 3 lots available, they didn't know which one they wanted. Said they would let me know in a couple of days. I didn't particularly care for that idea, but didn't say anything. What if someone calls and wants one of the empty lots?
And sure enough, immediately after that call, a man called in looking for a lot. He said he had showed up "a couple of years ago I think" but you weren't open yet. Umm, well maybe I don't remember, I opened the park at the beginning of last year. So now, I had this guy wanting the back in lot and I have no clue what these other people want. Long discussion and I told him I'd find out right away about what lot these other people want.
I called them, no answer. Texted - I have a person that wants the back in lot, but you have first dibs on it. Do you think you'll want that one? I am not going to be holding up lots for people even if they paid for it. Make up your mind, please, I have a business to run. I obviously don't say that to people, that would probably be considered as rude, lol.
They texted back one word: No. I didn't figure they'd want it because they allegedly bought a giant 5th wheel. It will fit in the lot easily, but there isn't a lot of parking space in front if the thing is a 42' long model. So, I called this other dude back: They don't want it. The guy paid over the phone and I'm very happy. Now I'm back down to 1 lot not rented and I'm leaving that open for overnight use.
I'm happy because I have to pay the guy for the damage done to his truck by that workamper. He finally had it fixed at a cost of $275. That's actually quite reasonable, I was expecting much more than that. I am very happy to have that man and his wife gone. The drama queens of the century (until the next ones come along anyway), it was a ridiculous atmosphere he was creating with lies, accusations and verbal confrontations. Which reminds me, I need to get that check sent out.
Tomorrow I have the early load. Very thankful for that, I don't like getting up that early but I even more dislike getting done late in the day on the second load. It leaves a good portion of the afternoon available for whatever instead of getting back at 5:00 pm or whatever and having nothing left. As it stands I was awake at 5:00 am this morning anyways.
Electric bill showed up. Around $1,900. That's not bad, actually. Not compared to last year with a bill of over $2,500. I mean, it's "Ouch!" high, but it's not slam your finger with a hammer high. I'll take whatever blessings I can get when I get them and thank God for them. We had some cool days this last billing period, many of them actually, which was amazing in itself for being the middle of the summer. I assume that's what is at play in a lower bill. It could also be people that were here last year that are no longer might have had AC problems and drawing a huge amount of electricity or just setting the AC at the lowest temp and leaving it there 24 hours a day.
Oh! And Cigna. They sent me a letter. After further review, we have determined that the scan will be paid for. Yes! $800 I don't have to pay! Well, I paid $300 already but I fully expect that money to be refunded. I'll give them a little time, if they don't send it then I'll be contacting them. This is the facility I got the scan at, not Cigna.
