Tuesday - late
Today's load was drained out of the tanker in 1 hour and 5 minutes, a substantial increase in time efficiency compared to numerous previous loads.
Whatever the case, we must have too many drivers now because I am off for another 2 days. I don't care, really, the endless 6 and 8 days in a row stuff isn't all that great and I'm happy to get some time off. I figured after having the entire weekend off, I would be working through this coming weekend.
I really want to start moving again on that expansion project, everything is still quite wet. There is a 53% chance of rain tomorrow, we are in the wet season and it's not really great timing to be working in ditches and trying to move dirt. I've got some money wrapped up in that project now, but I stopped before spending the money on electrical wire and pedestals. I'll spend around $2,000 on the underground wire and the pedestals are $450 a piece. I want to try to do 4 of them if possible. I started with 2, moved to 3 but now I'm just wanting 4.
Anyway, off Wednesday and Thursday, back on Friday and Saturday - Saturday is our Christmas party with the family friends. There will be lots of people over and everyone is bringing food. We have preassigned gifts to give as well. I, stupidly, made the mistake of ordering 3 gifts for my appointed person and having them sent - to Arizona. LOL!
My mother got all of that stuff. I told her to do with it as she will, it would cost too much to have it redelivered over here. She is going to give the stuff away, I think. Not really sure but not a big deal excepting reordering? That stuff won't be here in time. So, tomorrow, I will be hunting stores locally for the stuff this person likes and if I can't find it here, I 'll go to the bigger town 35 miles to the west of us and check everything out over there.
I'm a bit tired having had awakened at 4:00 am - a mistake caused by waking up for no particular reason, looking at the wall clock and thinking, oh, it's 5 am, might as well get up. That is because the shift in daylight savings time and I never did change the clock. I mean, I wasn't terribly tired on the way up to Gurdon, but when I got there? I hooked up the trailer to their system and then took a nice nap. I can sleep 20 minutes while that thing is unloading.
Tomorrow is the free downtown fun night. Someone in our church paid for everyone that shows up to get free ice skating, free carousal rides and free train rides. And whatever else they have going on over there.
I could be doing a better job of writing this entry if I weren't so tired. But since I am, I'm going to bed.
