Monday - afternoon

I slept so miserably last night it was unbelievable.   I didn't know how I was going to make it through today, but once I got rolling? It wasn't that bad.  Until I got home that is. I'm sitting here like a zombie, like what happened to my sleep? The night before, I slept great!  Weird.  

Sorry, but Trump is way off in left field. Now he's allegedly threatening military action to take over Greenland.  He makes an interesting case but he isn't selling his proposal very well.  I just see no reason why he can't just ask them to buy a chunk of land - there's plenty of it over there - to use for military purposes and call it good.  It's unreasonable to just demand some other country give it up because reasons.  In fact, it's pretty ridiculous.  This gives rise to the left idea that he's a dictator, authoritarian, Hitler with a different face, warmonger, etc ad nauseum.  

He's not doing the republican party any favors, either, by making these demands and war-like assertions.  Voters are overwhelmingly rejecting this idea and it will cost republicans at the polls if he continues on with this rhetoric.  I don't know who his inner circle, but they need to start talking to him. Perhaps they are and he's shutting them down.  I kind of think he wants complete control in whatever meetings are taking place behind closed doors.  

We don't need Greenland and citizens of Greenland don't want to be called Americans, plain and simple. 

 Tuesday -night

This gonna be a short one. I left my PC in my SUV and the computer at this hotel for guests is down. I got out of bed at 4:10 am and got to Gurdon at 7:25 am….to find another driver already there. 

That other driver wasn’t supposed to be there for many, many hours. I got right at dispatch and had unkind words to say. My @$$ did not get out of bed super early to come up here and wait is the drift of it. 

25 minutes plus the tune it took to have them switch tanks was the delay time. 

Got that done and headed straight to El Dorado. When I arrived, the lead mechanic came running out to me and instructed me where to put it. The first thing he did was to check the brake adjustment. The brakes were so out of adjustment, 2 of them took TEN full turns of the wrench to get them tight again. 

I can tell you that in all the years of trucking and doing truck mechanics, I have never seen brakes out more than maaaaayyyyyvbbbeeeee 3 turns! It was shocking. Reason being is because I just took the truck into Loves Travel Centers in Lufkin and had them adjusted! 

The rest of it? He had already ordered parts so he could get it all done today or tomorrow morning at worst. He figured today but they had already gotten me a hotel room so I just said I’m staying overnight. I may have forgotten my laptop but I did not forget my Nintendo Switch. 

I told him I was coming at 8 am I’m hoping to be home by noon. 

Friday, Saturday and Sunday night lows to be in the teens. This is exceptionally cold weather and I expect the school district will cancel school on Monday because there is a chance of snow on Sunday!! 52% chance?!! 

I’m going to have to go around the park tomorrow and check all water outlets. And advise people of the risks if not preparing their trailers in advance. 

That’s enough. I could go into politics but typing on an iPhone is no fun.
