Tuesday - evening
Yes, folks, we went trick or treating. I'm sure my Christian friends will not like that, but I can tell you something here: I am slowly having an effect on these people that we hang out with. Many of them never went to church and now are going - yes because they see me doing it and they have seen me taking the kids for the last several years. I'm telling you, even the 9 year old is showing change and I believe at least part of that is the teachings he's receiving at church.
They are going to a Wednesday Bible study group directly after they get home from school and then off of the youth fellowship afterwards. Basically they are at church from 4:30 to 7:30 and I think it's doing them a world of good. I do not worship devils, ghosts, demons and I'm not a fan of those costumes at all or the ornaments in people's front yards. They go to great lengths to decorate for Halloween, many of them MUCH more than they will for Christmas, if at all. We are to be in the world but not of it.
We can't help but be in this world but we can do whatever we can to help people change. See the truth of the Gospel and the reality of Jesus Christ, my Lord.
We only went for about an hour and a half, we had a late start so I was glad to get it over with and go home.
The old man is gone. He actually left without my having to call law enforcement out there. He's seen my booting others before, he knows I'm quite serious about it once I get into that mode. I really dislike throwing people out, but there are instances where it's more than just needed, it's basically mandatory. I'm amazed at the immediate effect. The park has no dog running all over the place doing whatever the hell it pleases. Apparently it was literally shitting EVERYWHERE. I've had people come up asking about his departure and I tell them bluntly I threw his ass out.
NO ONE is unhappy about that. I should have done this a long time ago and I am trying to make myself do better. People ignore the rules? Give them an ultimatum and get them OUT if they decide they don't want to follow them. They can go somewhere else where they likely have the same types of rules and won't tolerate it there, either.
The lot is rented and paid for, albeit no one is on it. Yup, a person called, said their son is going to the state college in town, starts next month but they want to ensure they have a space for him and yes, they are actually going out and buying him a brand new rv trailer. Hey, rich parents aren't all bad. The kid picked a good school, this college is renowned for not only turning out highly qualified graduates, but placing them in high paying jobs before they even have their diploma.
