Long long day.
Up at 5:30 am, make my coffee - I have a Keurig in my truck and I use it regularly - off to the races. The only abnormality coming back up was the amount of Texas State Troopers out there. 40 of them at least. Far more than normal. And one of them following behind me for miles and miles. I promise I wasn't doing anything illegal lol.
But he followed me for so long, I just wanted him to pull me over, do whatever he's going to do and get it over with. Instead, he eventually - after like 10 miles - came up beside me, looking who knows what - and then sped way up and headed on down the highway. Weird. Whatever his beef was, he got over it, apparently.
Whatever that was all about, the rest of the day was basically normal. Back at the yard, I dropped the trailer I was pulling - going back down to Brownsville in the morning - and then hooked to a different trailer going up to Oklahoma tomorrow. No, lol, I don't get a 4th Brownsville in a row.
I need this next trip to be a "normal" one for two reasons. first, I want half of Saturday and all of Sunday off. Second, they are going out of town for the weekend - up to grandma's. So I need to be here to tend to the doggies. And just be home, frankly. They want the boys to be able to visit their half brother - I think it's called - before a custody battle start brewing. The mother wants to move to florida and take the boy with her. That will cut the grandparents totally out of his life - they live near the mom. That's gonna get ugly. Actually it already has.
I did watch the debate tonight- Trump nailed it this time, Biden went off the rails. End fossile fuels? End fracking? and a ton of other things he said including a reference to Hitler that was ridiculous and outrageous.
Whatever the case, a very busy evening is over with, time to go to bed.
