Thursday - early
I was going to leave even earlier than normal, but waking up this morning has been a chore. The alarm went off, I was in a deep sleep and I had to lay there for a while to even think about forcing myself out of bed to go shave and shower.
35 minutes later and I'm still like, gee, I could just go back to bed and sleep a few more hours.
Yesterday was nothing special. Got to the offload plant, there were logging trucks double stacked in 2 lines all the way back to the highway. I don't know what they think when I just drive right past the whole lot of them, bypass the truck that is about to get on the scale and weigh in, but it's with the scalemaster's insistence that we don't wait, so I'm good with it.
It would take an hour at least to get through that line. It didn't help, at all, that yesterday one of the scales was broken, the outbound scale. So, one of the incoming scales was changed to the outbound scale which further slowed things up.
After that, I got the tanker hooked up, got them to unlock the valve and then started offloading. Their fitting hooking up to my truck was leaking. So, I had to close my valves, shut off the air pressure inside the building, hook the line up to the fitting on the line where it attaches to the truck, pump water first and then air pressure to clear out the lines, turn all of that off, go find the head dude, have him find a gasket, it was the last one they had. "hmm, maybe I better order some gaskets".
Uhh, yeaahhhh? Lol. Got that on, leak stopped, an hour and a half later the tanker was empty. It's amazing it's coming out that fast considering the temperatures. It was cold yesterday morning and it didn't warm up much later on. A chilly wind was blowing the entire time I was outside and it didn't really feel all that great.
This morning, another trip down south to clean out the tanker, load and go back to the park.
And looking at the clock? That's all I have time for right now.
G'day.
