Thursday evening

The 4 days of Ennis runs is over .  Or is it...

See, I forgot about a certain young person whose field trip is on Tuesday at a place called Medieval Times, which is over in Dallas (around 160 miles from here).  Yeah, no.  I promised I would go but I already have the next 3 days off starting tomorrow.  So, I will be going  back to work on Monday. I don't think mama was too happy with me not remembering to ask for the time off....soooo.....I asked my manager for Tuesday off as well.  Of course, I can't work Monday if I'm working Tuesday because all of the runs I do are 2 day runs. Start on Monday, finish on Tuesday.

I didn't demand the day off per se, it was my fault for forgetting.  Well, I never demand much of anything from work, I just roll with the flow as much as I can without raising too many issues. The drivers stepping on my appointment time I will always say something about, but even that has been several weeks I think since the last time it happened.  

I was in Ennis texting him. BTW, today went much easier as expected.  First off, getting there was easier because it was so early.  Far less traffic and when I got near Dallas, I took side highways to avoid rush hour for a million people going to Dallas to go to work. Ok, it's probably not a million people but it might as well be...

I only had to hook up one hose but there's a bunch of other stuff you have to do before you can open up the valves, I was there an hour and a half total which isn't bad at all.  I wasn't in a big hurry, I haven't been doing that run that much and I tend to take things more slowly in such cases so I don't miss a step and screw something up.  2 hoses, forgot. One is for air pressure the other is the hose going from the truck to their tank. 

The manager texted back, copy let me get to work on that.  Yeah, next thing I knew he was asking if I could work Friday into Saturday? My reply was I am not trying to be difficult but I also needed Friday off, it just happened to work out that way.  I was curious if he was going to try a full turn in one day or work Saturday and Sunday, but I guess he gave up on it.  I have 5 days off now and I am very happy about that.  I can get a bunch of stuff done at the park tomorrow and Monday.  2 full days to get all of that grass mowed down, I have half a mind to go over there right now....but I won't lol. 

I do have to go to a track meet for the oldest kid tomorrow morning around 10: 00 am but I am hoping that won't take too long.  Like an hour?  I dunno.  I just want to watch him run the 50 meter and then leave and get back to the property. I have good intentions of getting up early and getting over there to get stuff done, lol.
