 Friday - night

Oh boy, did the excitement start tonight.

But first.  I did, indeed, get out there and mow for 3 hours today.  I only stopped after I got all the lots done and a good portion of the front field done, plus the sides up and down the driveway and the rear where my truck and other equipment is parked.  In other words, I got a lot done.  Oh, well it got hot enough to be uncomfortable enough that I didn't want to deal with it anymore today and it looks 100% better.  It isn't finished, I need to do trimming and push mower work, but it's acceptable territory now.

Now then.  I get a call earlier from a guest at the big lot near the shed saying some dude was racing up and down my driveway going 35 mph on a 4 wheeler. They stopped him and told him to slow down and asked him what he was doing on the property to begin with.  They knew it was the next door neighbor.  I listened to this and asked him to call if they do it again.

Fast forward to night time.  I get a text message from another guest saying the neighbor next door had erected a fence right along my driveway.   Did I read that right, he put it up right next to my driveway?

Yes.  I was thinking, what kind of fence were they putting up that quickly?  But I didn't care, I left the house immediately and went over there post haste.  I was expecting to see people out there working - or something? I didn't know what to expect.  There was no one out there, not even the dude that called me - but - there was a barbed wire fence installed.

I handed one of the kids my cellphone, turned on the video and told him to video me the entire time I'm out there.  No, I didn't have them outside of the vehicle, who knows what might happen? Yes, I also was armed. Not visibly armed, it was in the vehicle, I got out with the headlights aimed along the new fenceline and proceeded to tear each fence post out of the ground and then throw it on the ground.  The guest came walking up shortly after I was done and I was calling out to the people in the house: THIS IS MY PROPERTY, ANY MORE INSTANCES OF THIS AND YOU WILL BE TRESPASSED.

I'm thinking I need to have them officially trespassed by Sheriff deputies to help end this situation. These people have been total @$$es the entire time I have been there, I have done nothing to antagonize them, I am avoided conflict at all costs.  I don't want a neighbor. If you have read this blog long enough and a few of you have, you might remember the feral cat neighbor war I went through.

They didn't come out.  I finished my conversation with the guest (rv park guest), got in my vehicle and proceeded to leave - UNTILLLLL - I saw a figure moving on the property.  One of the next door neighbors.  There's a whole family and then some living in that house.  I called out to him about this being my property. He ignored me, I said something else, he ignored me again for a minute but then said, oh, are you speaking to me?

I'm thinking, this guy is toying with me and I'm not taking the bait.  This is my property, the cross tie up front denotes the actual property line.  My property goes all the way up to the garage. We went back and forth.  I can't have this.  Where is my fencing?  What did you do with it? As if I had stolen it or something. It's laying right there where the fence you put up was.

Well, I have you on video coming into my house!hard to imagine any current guests actually entering their house. Why would anyone want to enter in  You sure as HELL don't have ME on your video, I don't do stuff like that. Well someone from there - pointing at  the park. Those are guests and I am not responsible for their actions.  I was thinking, it's to that dump? Especially when there is seemingly always people in there?

You can call the Sheriff and deal with it that way, I certainly did not go into your house or on your property, at all.  The fact of the matter is, that man does not own that property.  I think it's a family member - extended family - who owns it. The property is listed with an owner living near Fort Worth.  And I have looked at satellite imagery of that house, it is a huge house in a secluded neighborhood, easily half a million. Those people wouldn't be living in that dump.

I made no apologies for my actions, he is not coming 20 feet onto my property erecting a barbed wire fence.  Not a happening event.  After I told him he could deal with the Sheriff, he turned around and walked off. I said bye - not in a demeaning way either, I really don't want a neighbor war at all.  It can get very ugly and I'm running a business there, I don't live there.  BUT, it IS my property and I will defend it.

There are errors in this post. My mouse is apparently on the blink. It is doing strange things and moving things around, pulling up websites, doing all kinds of ridiculous nonsense. I'm going to have to go to walmart tomorrow and get a temporary replacement unless they have a good one there.

Anyway, I'll try to fix it when I get a new mouse.  Actually, I think I have another one laying around here somewhere....not a gaming mouse but it will have to do.

This situation is "all over" for now. No more phone calls, I am going to bed soon.
