Monday - morning

first quiet day off.  I had no inclination for getting up early, so I didn't lol.

However.  I am going over to the park soon to see if this fence was put back up, if it was, I'm tearing it back down and then calling the Sheriff to come out and trespass these people from my property.  The property line is clearly marked at the front of the property and then 400 feet down there is a fence line that picks up in the woods.

But, these "neighbors" are not friendly people.  They never have been.  I have waved at them, I have tried to just keep it low key but now I know these people are the ones tearing up and down my driveway when I'm not there and destroying it in the process.

Currently? I am sitting here mulling over my finances to see what the affordability of this new tractor is going to be.  I have a lot going out - but I have a lot coming back in.

I had a new couple move in yesterday, haven't seen them yet either. They called tho, they took the only available back in lot which is fine by me.  I like to keep the pull throughs available to the last if possible, that way if someone wants to spend an overnight, it's there.

Most travelers aren't wanting back in spots.  They just want to pull in, hook up and relax.

_______________

They put the fence back up - a bit off the property line. In other words, they just put it up by eyeball, they didn't bother to run a stringer and mark it. It's not that that isn't legal, it's unethical, a form of theft so probably immoral thrown into the mix. I would never erect a new fence where there has never been one without making sure that the line is perfectly in alignment with the property line.

I just decided it was time to end this nonsense, at least them coming onto my property. So, I called the non-emergency number of the Sheriff's department and it wasn't very long after 2 deputies - real nice gentlemen - showed up, took my story, asked a bunch of questions and then said they'd go next door to discuss it with the person over there.

And that is exactly what they did. I decided to wait, I had a feeling they would come back to ask something - and yup, they did.  The deputy stated that the man said it wasn't him riding his ATV over there, it was someone else from the neighborhood.  I smiled. Yes sir, I have video of him SAYING he was riding his ATV on my driveway, would you like to watch it :  )  The deputy smiled and went back.  There were no more questions lmao.

The came back and said they had informed him to stay off of my property, a criminal trespass warning given - if he does that nonsense again, he's going to be arrested. Now, for the record, I don't want it to go that far.  Not even.  But if the threat of that is what  it takes for them to understand that they can't do whatever the hell they please on my property, then so beit.

So I went back to the park portion of the property checking things out and then visited the new people.  They were moving right in, lol.  After that I drove back out and there they were, in all their irreverent glory, installing even more barbed wire fencing posts. This is only a barbed wire fence and it's easily removed.

I am going to check their work after they finish - I never gave them permission to put one on my property and have it on video telling the man he can't do that - and if it's even a little bit on my property, I am going to write them a letter demanding the reposition the fence on the property line. Better yet, have a real fence installed, not this old thing they tore down wherever else and reinstalling it there.

Yes, it is obvious they tore this fencing down from somewhere else. It's old, it's all attached to each other and they have no clue what they are doing.  If we're going to have a fence, I want a professionally installed fence line which is straight and right on top of the property line. Not a a few inches or a few feet off, I want ALL of my property. I certainly am paying for it and property taxes aren't cheap either.

I just sent the actual owner of the property a text stating to relocate the fence along the property line.

Whatever.  I have also pulled the trigger on a tractor.  Just can't have acreage without one unless you want it overgrown with weeds, the driveway destroyed by storm water running over it and unable to move dirt and heavy objects around.  I don't much care for the idea of payments but at the same time, I was giving up an entire lot to have that tractor over there until the kid moved on.

It would cost the same in monthly payments to be renting a tractor from the local rental place, plus a lot more hassle having to go there to get it and return it when they want it returned, etc and so forth.

In other words, it's actually more expensive to not have my own tractor than to buy one on payments.  All paperwork has been signed, they just have to process it and then I will go get it.

Tomorrow morning? My 5th and final day off before doing another Ennis run and after that, hopefully back to Gurdon runs.  I am driving to Dallas for the youngest' field trip to Medieval Times.  I did the same for his older brother a few years ago.  I really do not want to drive all the way to Dallas and wish I could just hitch a ride on the charter bus, but they won't allow it.  So, I am getting up at 5 am - they are leaving early - taking the oldest child to his school for his field trip. He is also going to Dallas but to Kidzania, that ridiculous, nonsensical place we went to no long ago for a mini vacation.

He isn't really looking forward to it, but at the same time, he knows what to do there now that we already went.  More importantly, what not to waste time on....

All of the means one thing: It's almost time to go to bed.

Editing: I spoke with mom yesterday for Mother's Day and she flatly told me her health is "going down".  She's very old, yes.  She has no energy, to be expected at that age, tho I see some people at the age still moving around and I wonder how they managed that? My mom has definitely taken care of herself.....it wasn't any fun hearing her saying that but that doesn't necessarily mean she's dying tomorrow, she just isn't feeling it anymore and I understand where she's coming from.  She still goes for her daily walks tho and loves her little doggy...
