 Work is still famine mode.  I was informed by my manager that sitting around for 3 days is the new normal until the plant gets back up to normal.  Sucks that it happened - Snovid21 - nothing anyone can do about it.  Fix everything and get back to normal.

So, he offered me a run to Atlanta to pick up an empty trailer and take it to Amarillo, TX. That's some serious mileage that will take at least 4 if not 5 days to accomplish.  2,200 miles I'm estimating which is exactly what I need right now, something serious to get me back on track.  

Meanwhile, there is a local company that has pre-made dinners to go.  Keto stuff.  I'm going to try that this upcoming trip - I'm leaving Sunday morning.  I could have left tomorrow but the 3 year old turns 4 today and they are having cake and ice cream to celebrate - tomorrow, not today. I dunno if they're having other kids over to celebrate or what's going on, but I don't mind another day off.

That's because I have been busy all day long starting at 7 am and it's now noon-thirty.  I have much more I want to get done today and spilling into tomorrow.  I do give credit to my manager that he finds stuff to do when we are slow. I don't know who else he offers this stuff to, but I'm more than happy to take it.

Anyways, I have checked out several properties today - none of which will work. Two of them are larger at 37 and 44 acres - but they have been all but stripped of trees.  It looked that way on satellite, just had to check anyway lol.  The price was good is why. The road getting to them wasn't so hot either, I could foresee large RV's having issues.  Not because the RV couldn't make it, but from my readings, a lot of these people driving the rigs are not keen on anything that offers a challenge.  Those two properties are well off the beaten path, far out of the way, I just don't see the viability of either of them.

There's always an issue. The property is sloped too much.  It doesn't have water access.  You can't access it without going over steep railroad tracks or on crappy roads.  I'm not going to take something that I know won't work and I made that clear to the realtor today.  In nice terms of course, but just telling her that there is competition around here and I have a vision for this park if I ever get it going that will have it growing for years to come.  She agreed that she doesn't want me taking any property that I am not 100% comfortable with.

I just wanted her to know I appreciated all the work she had done so far and that I was sorry if I was being too picky but I have to be picky if I want something to have a chance at being successful.  

It would really be nice to quit work in 5 years, collect the minimum SS at age 62 but have this thing up fully functioning and reaping a solid income.  That is a current goal.  Not set in stone simply because the right property has been so elusive, but it is a good goal to incorporate into this mix.  

There are a number of great properties, actually, that would work - but they want far too much money for them. Like unbelievable amounts of money per acre. They sit on the market for a year or longer - who wants to pay 25 thousand dollars per acre for land?  Obviously not that many people considering the good properties are snatched up quickly and these properties just sit there.  

As for the rest of the day? I was going go to two other properties but then found out there is no water supply available.  I mean, it may come down to having to dig a well to get what I need?  Thousands of dollars just to dig the well, that doesn't include the piping, the well house, the pump and the electrical.  Almost none of the properties I have viewed have sewer available, so that cost on top of water cost would just be too much money to start out with.  

Anyway, back to the drawing board.
