Tuesday More

So, I get home from work today and receive a reply from Mary.
Note that the judge ordered us both to communicate via email to come up with a date/time to get her things out of here.
Mary ignored that order and showed up on Sunday regardless.

So, today, Mary writes more hate mail. She is replying to the 3 emails that I wrote her after the court hearing and before she showed up on Sunday.

It is a total waste of time to go into what she said - it was incomprehensible and went into issues that had nothing to do with anything about moving her stuff out.

She did, however, think that she has 30 days to get her stuff out of here!
Ummm - well I responded to it, because her manner of writing is so off-the-wall, you really can't understand WHAT she is trying to say.

Regardless, the woman that is Mary's friend - a person that seems sane and lucent - showed up today - like right now - about 2 hours after the arranged time. That's all I need. 3 pickup trucks and 3 women. No U-haul and no guys to help haul the heavy stuff. They are going to attempt to take everything out of here today (I thing I can only DREAM happens).

Video surveillance is running and recording, of course. Note that the agreement for these people to come get Mary's things - without Mary present - was witnessed by 2 Phoenix Police officers. Listening to the women that are present, it becomes obvious that these people work with Mary at the University. How Mary gets out of having to help get her own things is - unbelievable, actually. The police can come again and again, according to them anyway.

This will undoubtedly go on for hours - none of Mary's things are packed, and when the ladies walked into the room, they were shocked. There is SO much stuff in there, it's amazing. I could fill more than half a house with the stuff she has crammed in there.

Today at work - busy. All day long. Got off of work 27 minutes late. Tomorrow looks to be more of the same. With all the running around I have to do tomorrow, I will be lucky to get it all done in 7 hours period. That's 7 hours without a break, btw, a break that they automatically take off of my time regardless of whether I actually take one or not.

Loan modifications. I have been contacted by about half a dozen companies - they all want rates that I simply don't care for. $2,000.00; $2,300.00; $2,500.00. They continue to talk about a "lawyer" and how this person is somehow doing the work. BUNK. Lawyers don't do their own paperwork - the menial stuff is left to paralegals and clerks. I asked specifically WHAT, exactly, the lawyer does? I get detailed responses to all of my questions BUT that one.

There are so many scams concerning modifications, I am very leery of it. I called the bank that is owned by the same mother company as my mortgage company, the man said he would call me back. He never did.

I will be calling them again.

Regardless, there is far too much noise going on in here to continue writing this entry with them moving her stuff out of here.

Tuesday

So, Michael's sitting in the living room yesterday, asking about a vacation.
Sure - just come up with about $500 and we'll take a 3 day trip.
Lol.
Mary's friends are again supposed to come today, after I get home from work, to get the rest of her stuff.
Which is good because I have a solid lead on a new roommate.
Got to work early this morning as I like to sit here before clocking in and read the news and such.
Iran sending warships to international waters and North Korea detonating a nuke AND sending two more test missiles - great news!

Pretty nice 4 days off regardless of the excitement in court and the police showing up yet again at my house to let Mary get her things. Got plenty done this weekend, so I don't look at it as a waste.

Anyway, now it's just a 4-day work week - always easier to handle than the entire 5!
Have a great day!

Memorial Day

Just voicing my great respect and giving my thanks to those that have served and are serving in our nation's military. As far as journaling goes, Old Solider comes to mind - as well as a few others.
To those families that have lost loved ones who have gone to Iraq, or Afghanistan - or wherever: Thank You. The loss is inmitigatable - but your country and your fellow countrymen are indebted forever.
I always think of those that went to Vietnam - I see them on the streets everyday. I have talked to many of them - that war messed with their heads, many have not been able to cope.

I think of the great World Wars - imagine what life would be like if Hitler had his way, or Japan was able to finish what they started. You think of how many military personnel lost their lives in those wars. It's a staggering thought. It's even more amazing that Japan is now an ally.

Well, moving on. Mary's friend was supposed to be here at 8:00am to get the rest of Mary's things. A friend I email with back and forth wrote me back this morning and said: "don't hold your breath". Lol.

I have had some interest in the room, but nothing solid so far. Just people interested. I believe it's a bit tighter market out there right now for room rentals - lots of people are doing it. Still, I'm a great location and that alone is usually what ends up landing the next tenant.

Regardless, I assume they are coming for the stuff - if they did not - there is now room in the shed to put the rest of Mary's larger stuff and store it onsight, versus paying to store it offsite. I think so, anyway. Crossing my fingers it doesn't have to go there and that they will show up at "any time now".

I've decided to take the day off. I have been working around the house every day. Lots accomplished - the only thing I am doing outside right now is finishing the slow watering of all the plants. I have a couple of loads of laundry I want to get done, but that's it. Oh how I wish there were a beach near here!

I can't imagine what it might be like to live near the ocean - storms, hurricanes and waterspots with earthquakes thrown in put aside. Oh, and underwater volanoes.
Hmmm, maybe not so great after all!

Have a great day!

Mary

"I'll do it, myyyyyyyyyaaaawwwwyyyyyyy wayyyyy".
As always, Mary does things her own way.
In this case, completely ignoring the directive of the judge.
The judge issued the directive, via a modification of the Order of Protection, that we email each other about when she is to come and get her stuff.

I emailed her 3 times on 3 consecutive days.
She replied NONCE.
She was supposed to show up, originally, at 1:00 pm today with a U-Haul and several people to get her things out of here.
I didn't put it past her to do such a thing without notice, even though a court ordered it.
At 1:30, I figured a done deal - she ain't showing.

Wrong.

At 3:00 pm, the police are at my gate.
I go out there.
I inform them of the judge's directive.
It is, rightfully, left totally up to me.
Get her stuff out of here, that's what my head was screaming at me, and that's what I allowed.

But looking at the pickup, it was quite obvious that was NOT going to suffice.

There was only contention about a coffee cup and silverware. The coffee cup I gave up on - just take it, go ahead, have the coffee cup, I have a dozen more. She said no, I could "have" it, and left it. Silverware? Geeze. I had no clue where mine starts and hers ended. I offered that she could take out what she thought was hers and then I would look at it to see if I agreed with it or not.

She decided to leave ALL of her silverware, at my behest. I countered - you have a lot of stuff in there, go ahead and take what's yours. No. She left all of that stuff. She did, of course, take everything else. No problem there, but her bedroom is STILL - FULL - of her stuff. They took some things out of there, yes, but to look at her room right now? Totally full.

I did not want to have to deal with this tomorrow - I have yet another BBQ planned, this time a Memorial Day get together. Not with strangers, either.

The police asked if they could come, I said no, I have plans, they will have to try some other day. Then Mary's friend asked again - if she and some "male friends" could come without Mary to get the rest of it - no need for police since Mary won't be there. I thought no - again - but my head said - what are you thinking? Get that stuff OUT of here.

So, I said yes, at 8:00 am, you can come over and get the rest of this stuff. I'm already well awake by 8:00 am, and this gives them time to undoubtedly make at least 2 trips, cause' I don't see it happening in one. I was rather critical of them not just renting a U-Haul or similar and getting it over in one fell swoop. It becomes apparent that Mary has blown her money yet again and can't pay for a U-Haul.

The objective: get all of it out of here and get that room rented out again. I had 2 stipulations. 1 - the entire thing is video taped by surveillance and that you agree to it, and 2 - no-one in the moving party has any weapongs on them, especially hand guns since Mary has a friend that carries what looks to be a .45 caliper around with him everywhere he goes, including in my house. I had asked Mary a couple of times to tell the dude to check the gun at the curb.

So that's it. The kitchen part is over with - all of her stuff is out of there as well as my storage shed and whatever she had outside plus some stuff from her room. My greatest contention was the kitchen part - the stuff in her room, none of that is mine and I don't NEED to inspect it, as I don't note that anything of mine is missing.

I will be much more aggessively attempting to find a roommate after tomorrow - providing all her stuff is out of there.

Done.

More

Okay, hanging laundry about the 4th load starts to get old. Not the biggest ordeal on earth, but - not exactly Sunday afternoon fun, either.

Also continued the deep watering I started yesterday. Should be completed by the end of the holiday weekend.

Went to Fry's. For me, Fry's Food Stores are becoming notorious for issuing ads with product that they don't have.
This time - 88 cents per pound chicken breast, bone-in. None. Tude Dude was back there, I avoided him like the plague - he gave me a long stare - so - I decided it only fitting to - completely ignore him.

When done with shopping, I asked the guy at the front about when there will be more chicken coming in. I knew the answer before he called the meat department: tomorrow. I decided to ask them to call another Fry's down the road - the man disappeared. When done paying for my stuff, the printer wasn't working and it did not give me my receipt. I ALWAYS check my receipt to make sure the computer hasn't over-charged me. It happens frequently enough that it warrants me to stand at the front of the store and go over the entire receipt.

I ask the lady 3 times to print the receipt - she never does. I finally get word back - no meat at the other store. Now, I really don't take pleasure in making life difficult for these people, but they also should not be luring people into their stores by having these "wonderful" sales for the customer to find NONE of the product on their shelves. I was definitely not the only person back there looking for the chicken - there were 3 other people standing there with rather bewildered looks on their faces - looking at a giant sign that says 88cent chicken breast, bone-in - the sign was planted in the middle of a bunch of whole fryers, there was definitely none of the sale chicken breast anywhere on those shelves.

So, as is my fashion, I ask for the manager. The lady at the front calls for her 5 times. Lol. She then asks for the second in command - of whom I would have rather talked to anyway if I had known he was there. He explains that they have been shorted on all of their chicken orders. I replied that that is the same story I have been hearing every time they have a sale and don't have the sale product. He offers to substitute, I rejected it. I wanted chicken breast with the bones, not the boneless. I think it grills better, and they didn't have another brand on the shelf.

Long story short? Same-o, same-o. One starts thinking at what point do you switch from thinking - Gee, they're just out, I'll get some tomorrow - to - Gee, they're always out, they are doing this on purpose - get people in the store, they will buy something else at a higher price, most people won't go to the trouble of saying something as I do.

Whatever. I wanted to cook the stuff up today for an afternoon BBQ for Caleb - it's his 16th birthday today. Actually, I ended up doing what I just said other people would do - I bought him a fat steak instead and will be grilling that later.

It's an amazing thought that my son is 16 years old. He is my only child - and soon he will be grown up and out of the house. THAT will definitely be strange. At the same time, "only" 2 more years of child support payments. I'm at 4 and a half years of it already. Basically could have bought a car on payments with what I have paid, and then another half of one by the time this is over.

Well, back to the races - I dumped tick killing powder on my bedroom floor - dogs have infested with them and it's been a daily war for over 2 weeks now trying to get rid of them - and it's almost time to vacuum that stuff up.

Sunday

Something seems to kick in internally on Sundays that identifies the circuits within to close and start telling me to clean house.
An impulse that can't be denied, I get moving.
I'm about 1/3rd done - I have a huge list of things I want to get done in here today, as well as more items on the outdoor list as well.

However, I am waiting for the boys to get up to finish the living room. THEY can clean it, and clean it thoroughly.

I have heard nothing back from Mary from the 2 emails that I have sent her inviting her to come get all of her stuff out of here so that I can re-rent that room. I have no intention of waiting forever - she will either come get it or I will put it in storage regardless of the cost. I was thinking a cheaper solution would be to have a container delivered here temporarily - until the time allotted for her to get the stuff expires and then I can simply get rid of it. I do have doubts that I will have to go that far with it - getting rid of it that is - because she most certainly will want all of that back.

They also have those containers they bring, you load it up, and they take it to their storage facility. Just easier, I think than renting a U-Haul and having to unload it again. Just leave it in there. If she NEVER comes for it, have it brought back, unload it, sell it, done.

Anyway, it wouldn't surprise me if she just showed up at the appointed time today without any advance notice - even though she stated in court that she wasn't going to be able to come for whatever reason - she was cut off by the judge and we were allowed no further opportunity to speak. The clerk made up the paperwork, handed it to me and told me to leave immediately, while she went over to Mary and told her to wait a couple of minutes - that's the terms of an Order of Protection, no contact.

Meanwhile, some plants that she transplanted in the front have died. She transplanted them several weeks ago and was not watering them enough. I observed this and started watering them myself, but it was too late. So, I will have to dig those up and think about what I might want to put in it's place. I still have some plants left from the auction that - might - look nice out there, haven't decided yet. Spending money on plants is hardly on the docket of things to do at this point, so, if no plants go in there, I will haul more rocks from the back to the front to cover that bare patch of ground up.

In fact, there is much hauling to do. There are still quite a large number of rocks on the ground in the back and the front could use more of it. So, that's a "fun" project I will at least do some of today as well.

I hung clothes on the lines outside this morning to dry. They were somewhat moist after only 10 minutes out there - the sun is baking that side of the house and those clothes are probably already dry by now. Bring them in, tumbling them on air dry for a few minutes, done. It isn't near the ordeal in hanging them that I thought it might be. I haven't seen either other tenant doing any laundry lately - I am wondering if they are waiting until I'm not here so they can dry their clothes in the dryer.

If it's going to be a sticking point with them, I will not force the issue. I don't think it unreasonable to ask people to help save electricity. But, if they force the issue, I will force back - no laundry to be done between the hours of 10:am and 6:00 pm. Absolutely no good reason to be heating up the house during the daytime.

Ummm, so that's it, for now, as I want to get back to work after taking a little coffee break.
Have a great day!

Pics

Kate asked for pics - so, that's what I did. Got out there before it got too dark, snapped some photos of things I have been working on, walaah.

EDITED: I AGAIN forgot to reduce the size of the pic on my camera, so, if you want to see what I am REAllY focusing on in the pics, you'll have to click on the pic itself, otherwise, you might thing I am a REALLY bad photographer. I ain't the greatest, but - really - I'm not THAT bad!!

Photobucket
Photobucket

The Trellis Project.
I put the third trellis up today - it's the farthest on the left - and then had to slide behind that panel of trellises to put in "equalizers" I'll call them. That is simply little strips of wood that I screwed onto the trellises from behind to make the trellises all line up together. You should be able to see the sunshade stuff I put behind it as well. The top is sagging down - another project, another day. Probably tomorrow. I still have to put up 3 more of them. I have one more right now, would have to buy the other 2. Money is tight, not sure I'm going to do it. I will have to work around the satellite dish and the bathroom window if I ever get that far with it.

Photobucket

Laundry Trees.
This project is all but finished. I just need to buy another line to give it 6 lines wide of clothes hanging euphoria. It's VERY sturdy - you could load it up with wet comforters and it wouldn't budge the wood, which is cemented into the ground.

Photobucket

Behind that "stuff" is a sliding glass door. I had to stack up chairs as I made a mistake - I needed to put huge flat washers on the screw heads. A good windy day came and the styrofoam just ripped itself over the head of the screws. I forgot about that today at Home Depot. Anyway, the difference in here - where I'm sitting which is right next to the sliding glass doors, is QUITE palpable. The material over the foam looks much better - I think anyway - than just having styrofoam with ugly writing all over it.

Photobucket

That's the front yard, and today, I cut that grass array down to what you see there. It was too high, it was all dying - it's just a normal phase in the cycle to cut it back and let the grass grow out again. I spend quite a lot of time working on that front yard today, still more to go. The white car is Mimi's the "newest" tenant - though soon, hopefully, she won't be referred to that as I will have someone else in Mary's room.

Photobucket

This is the paver project out front. Mary had had stacked - pavers and bags of sand - on the sidewalk of all places. I dumped the sand into the area being worked on and started installing more pavers. Picked up where Mary left off. I need several more bags of sand to finish that project, which is basically stalled right now until I get some more. Mary wrote in her complaint to the city that I had bags of cement and construction materials stored out front. Obviously, the work is being done, and since it's started, I fully intend on buying whatever sand I need to get the job finished. I do NOT need Mary to do everything around here, it was just a big help. Frankly, my expenses will be reduced significantly without her presence and her extreme leanings towards waste in terms of electricity and water.

Photobucket

Michael - has been acting strange for several hours now. He said he's bored. I doubted it. Hormones raging, there are other things on that kid's mind. His girlfriend - lol - broke up with him. Reason? He's totally consumed by video games. I believe he's rethinking that position as male hormones decide FOR him what's important in life and what is not.

Photobucket

I know you're going to have a hard time believing this, but this photo actually shows the center of the universe. The Hubbard has nothing on this pic. This is the clearest photo ever obtained of the origins of the universe, our galaxy, and earth. Called "The Grill", there hasn't been anything discovered that has any more signifigance - The Lord Is Good, cause' He caused this thing to be created. Thank you, Lord!

Photobucket

Mimi's room, this used to be the window/room of Mary's first room. It gets warm in there in the morning, Mimi wanted the window covered up. I started and completed this project today.

Photobucket

This is one of my tenants.
NO, take that back, this is a photo of the zoo trip a while back. I could have sworn when I glanced at that photo that it was on of my prior tenants, though............................

.............

I have been enjoying an entire day working outside.

Well, not the entire day. I went and picked up a computer chair cheap this morning.
After that, a stop at Albertson's for some boneless, skinless chicken breast on sale.

Then to Home Depot where I purchased a bottle of outdoor spray poison - the kind you hook up to a garden hose. I'm afraid that a paid exterminator is out of the question at this point.

Home, I went to work with the poison, covering the entire property. The bottle was empty just as I was finishing up.

I then attached another trellis to 2 beams I had cemented into the ground. After that, I got a stick of wood I had purchased to place on the beams - all of them together, to even out the array. I then took small pieces of wood I had bought to use as stakes - which I pulled out of the ground but did not throw away, and placed them between trellises as well to even them out even more.

After that, I got the shade material, 2 sticks of wood, measured the entire length of the trellises up so far. I measured that out on the shade material and then some for working room. Screwed wood posts into each end of the shade stuff and then proceeded to attach it to the back side of the trellises.

OH, do I wish I had bought more of that stuff. Well, that project as far as it's going without cementing more beams into the ground, I got to work on Mimi's window dressing. Specifically, putting the styrofoam over her window. Measuring it all out, I cut styrofoam pieces to size and then did all the work involved in attaching the southwest looking material to it with glue to make it look nice - instead of white foam looking not-so-nice. I am letting the glue dry out and then I will be attaching it to the frame outside of her window. She wanted it done - it makes a huge difference in the heat levels in her room during the morning hours.

In interims, I have been deep watering plants all day long. Out front, I took over Mary's "job" and started pulling weeds. I was a little surprised she had let such a great amount of that stuff grow out there. Grass and weeds everywhere. I got 90% of that out of the ground. I also cut back some tall grass stuff - I don't remember the name of that, either - but it looks good - it had grown out of proportion and it needs cut down to about a foot and a half tall length periodically. I also pulled out some dead plants.

Again, I was amazed that Mary had let so much of this go. I had been watching it, yes, but I didn't want to "intrude" on "her" grounds.

With all of that, I have the grill cooking some of that chicken breast on sale and pork steaks that were a manager's special at Albertson's - half off. They are "sell-by" tomorrow.

So, I have Mary's project to finish - but I didn't get any sand at Home Depot today, as I wanted to see what my finances are. Especially after dumping a mortgage payment in the mail and also facing a car payment and car insurance payment. Everything else is either current or paid-in-advance. I need more sand, anyway, to continue on with that project.

It may sound like a lot- and really it is - but I have thoroughly enjoyed it. It has taken my mind off a lot of things and has been a total release for me. I am headed back out there in a few minutes. I want to install the styrofoam, dig 2 more holes for more beams for the trellises, continue with the deep watering project all around the house (take 3 days to finish it), and continue to work on pulling weeds on the east side of the house. Everything cited in the complaint Mary made against me has been taken care of - it wasn't really much - excepting the car. Mom suggested just washing it and making it look like it's being used. So, I also took the hose today and bathed it down, including the tires and everything underneath it.

Actually, I have a huge list of things I want to accomplish today, tomorrow and Monday - but it is hardly burdensome. I have 2 people interested in Mary's room. I will be paying to have all of it removed out of there to a storage unit if she doesn't come for it tomorrow or Monday. I need the income, the money spent on getting that stuff out of here will be replaced by the next tenant's initial payment for rent. I have not heard back from Mary - either she is showing up tomorrow unannounced, or she just ain't showing up.

Regardless, I'm back to the races.

Next: Notice of Abandonment

As I noted in the comments section of the last entry, I cannot just dump Mary's stuff out of here - I wish I could, just have a huge yard sale and get rid of all of it. To do that - at least in Arizona - would mean she could go to court and sue me for the loss.

Instead, I have written her 2 emails so far, one yesterday and one today - the only method the judge prescribed for us to communicate about this - to come get her stuff on Sunday at 1:00 pm as previously arranged when the police were here last. The second notice, I just sent to her, includes the statement that if she does not have her stuff out of here by Monday, May 25th, 2009, I am going to move all of it to a storage facility and then she will have to pay for the move and the storage costs BEFORE getting her things - that is also written right into State Law.

Further, since I really only have an Order against her, I am also going to post a Notice of Abandonment on her bedroom door and send a certified letter to her work, the only other address I know of. The notice is simply the next legal step in ensuring that in a year from now, she doesn't - for whatever reason no-one could ever fathom - would want to walk back in here. Yes, the Order is good for a full year.

Hmm, state law a little murky - there is nothing in there for a case like this. Sort of isn't. After reading one particular section, however, I was QUITE glad that I won yesterday. Losing would mean she could sue me for damages that would amount to 2 month's worth of rent in a judgment against me, if she did so. But, from what I am reading, proceeding with a Notice of Abandonment and sending it to her workplace does appear to fit into one of the definitions of abandonment:

H. In this section "abandonment" means either the absence of the tenant from the dwelling unit, without notice to the landlord for at least seven days, if rent for the dwelling unit is outstanding and unpaid for ten days and there is no reasonable evidence other than the presence of the tenant's personal property that the tenant is occupying the residence

Okay, what I'm looking for is how to get rid of her stuff, basically. Not just in storage, I mean after a certain amount of time has expired, to sell it/dispose of it/whatever of it and have it out of my hair. I am assuming Mary wants this stuff back - all well and good, but I am not going to be drawn out into this forever. That's the point - to store it means money out of my pocket - hiring a truck, people to help carry it out to the truck, drive it over to the nearest storage place, pay for the storage, unload it, take the truck back, pay the people that helped move it.

Mostly, I'm straining to think how I could take it all out of there and distribute it around the house, lol. Caleb's closet is empty, I could load that up with boxes of Mary's stuff. But her bed is both large and heavy, takes up a lot of space. She has other stuff - dresser, table and 2 storage units in her room that just are spacemongers. Nope, no way to distribute it, it would have to go into storage, unfortunately.

Onto other things. It's a nice, overcast day again. Haven't looked at what the high temps are supposed to be, but certainly it can't be getting over 100 today with the sky overcast as it is. Yup - high of 92 today, not bad, not bad at all. Today? I'm going to take it easy today. Water the plants, pull some weeds, a trip to the store, that's about it. No work until Tuesday, and after ordeals like yesterday's, I'm very happy to have some time off to let it pass. If Mary shows up tomorrow, all the better.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Court

Around 10:00 am, Karen showed up.
We took off towards court, even though it was going to start 1 hour and 15 minutes later.
We got there almost an hour ahead of the scheduled start time.

A little cafe down the street, I bought her a cafe mocha and I had a coffee. My coffee was pretty darn good - they didn't have any coffee made at the time so I got an espresso with water and cream. Karen was looking at some art on the walls - was quite intrigued by it.

Half an hour later, we leave and go back to court.
Mary shows up shortly after we entered the courtroom, we were almost 30 minutes early. We listened to a married getting divorced couple argue over kids and an order of protection.

I listened intently - mostly to the judge and how he was reacting to everything, since what I was doing was the same thing: order of protection.

After that was done, we were up next. He was a commissioner, but was in the seat of the Superior Court. He started with me. He basically said to prove my case. I was the plaintiff - of course. I went into everything, he cut me off on many things. I didn't argue with him about any of it - but he was cutting out stuff that I was attempting to present that was quite material to my case. It became evident that the only thing I could rely on was Mary's meth use. Not because he said so, but because it is a crime, my witness would attest to it, and that was the case.

So, I started in on that, almost without exception. Mary got her turn. She spewed forth one lie after another. I have learned to simply keep a straight face - even when the lie is SO far off, the truth is an ocean away. Because it was Superior Court, we were asked if we wanted to ask each other questions. I asked numerous questions of Mary - she lied on every one of them - BLATANT lies.

Moving on. Not worth going into her academics in court, Mary is a patent liar and has no reservations in doing so, even under oath.

The judge asks for my witness - Mary did not show up with witnesses, something that did surprise me. Karen got up on the stand, the Judge tells me to ask her whatever questions I might have. My questions were generic - to give Karen latitude to reply in full. And certainly, her replies gained keen interest from the Judge. When I was through with her, Mary had her chance. Mary - came up with a repository of accusations that was sickening in the depth and realm of it.

I was allowed a final statement. My statement included the fact that a current tenant had gone out and bought a fancy air cleaner to place next to the vents to try and clean the air before it got to her and her dog. My focus was pinpointed, directed towards Mary's intensive use of meth, in my house.

I am leaving out a lot - too much to go into. I offered my CDROM as evidence that Mary was lying about my shoving her. The judge wanted no part of it. I pressed - Mary had made the accusation, in writing, that I had shoved her. Nope. Okay, WHERE is this going, I'm thinking but not saying. The Judge abruptly cut it all off. He was determined to make his ruling. I had no clue who was the winner, who was the loser.

He started typing on his computer keyboard. No-one has any idea what the ruling is.
"The Order remains. I am making a slight modification to it. Mary *** cannot contact the plaintif in any way except that I am changing this so that Mary *** can email the plaintiff." The email is limited to making arrangements to get her things. After the Judge explained everything, Mary spoke up. "Can I ask you a question?".

Her question was why the Judge was not dismissing my Order of Protection against her. The Judge plainly stated that the testimony concerning the meth use in my home was convincing, and that the use and possession of it is a crime, and that is why he was maintaining the order. Mary started into the same spew she had tried several times today in that courtroom, only to be cut off by the Judge. The Judge said our (Karen's and I) testimony was convincing and that I had a witness.

I won. I am not gloating. I just wanted to get this over with. I did NOT want her to be coming back in here. The Judge informed Mary that she could arrange with me to come get the rest of her belongings. He further informed her if an agreement could not be made, that the ONLY recourse for her would be to sue me. I immediately responded, rather quickly, that we already had an agreement for her to come over here on Sunday for her to get her stuff.

Mary started to say something about "no, I can't...." the Judge cut her off and said that isn't going to be discussed here, you can do that in emails. Okay.

So, that's it. We went out to eat at a great BBQ place in Mesa - the least I could do was buy lunch - came over here and we spent the afternoon talking. I thanked Karen for coming to court - I do believe the fact that I had a witness is what helped me win the case.

I wrote Mary an email after getting home - please come at the date we agreed upon to get your stuff out of here. She is NOT going to get away with suing me. I do NOT want her stuff, she can have it all back - I am not a thief and I will never keep a tenant's belongings from them unless the time for them to come get the stuff has elapsed AND they owe me money.

If she does not come for the stuff, I will remove everything from her bedroom, put it wherever I can - in the storage shed and wherever else I can find, to get it out of there so I can rent the room out again.

That's it. I slept well last night, but I am drained.

I also found a letter from the City of Phoenix in my mailbox when I came home. Mary - in her vindictiveness - filed a complaint against me for having bags of cement out front (there are none), have construction materials "stored" out there - there are pavers out there to install in front of the front wall and it's obvious that it is an ongoing project - and alot of other BS. My human nature flared up - I wanted NOT to give her things back, let her sue me. But, my senses prevailed and I wrote the note to her about coming for her things without any statements about anything else.

I won, that's it. Just a matter of getting her stuff out of here. I am going into her room to see what it's going to take to box all of it up - she made note that she isn't coming on Sunday even though she made this arrangement through the police. Great. That room is not going to be held up forever by her - bs.

And with that, I'm done as I am tired again - these things always drain me.

Friday

No work today - but got up normal time anyway. Wanted to go out and get the plant watering over with, I waited a couple of days to see if it would rain, not enough.

To my surprise, it rained over night and the ground is soaked! Yayyyyy! The weather reports kept saying scattered storms - well I live right next to the mountains and when they say that, it ALWAYS rains here. That's what I was hoping for - just another way to save a little money, let Mother Nature turn on the water tap in the sky and let it fall.

Next, I came out to drink coffee and go over the numbers. I left water and electricity at the highest numbers I think that they might go during the summer. I did not include my dad's $100 check he has been sending every month. I also included only 2 renters, since really, that's all I have right now.

The numbers came up with expenses being almost $300 less than income. However, those numbers did not account for food, gas, haircuts, etc. Just bills going out. When my back is pressed against the wall, I start playing with the food/haircuts and everything and anything else that can be toyed with.

The reality is, I will definitely need a third tenant in here - preferrably sooner than later.

Today will determine a few things. The numbers are done for now - and I'm going through piles of paperwork looking at things to present in court if necessary. Probably necessary.

Okay, I've just spent an hour going through all of this mess. Lots of stuff in there. I re-read the documents the court sent me - Mary has actually asked for a restraining order against me. I expected that, I just didn't see it the first time I read all of it. Reason being I was looking at her statements on those papers, not the actual content of the document itself.

Whatever. Her reasons for wanting an Order against me are based on - nothing. In fact, her reasons - all 2 of them - not only have no basis in fact. One reason is that "I shoved her". She shoots herself in the foot again by saying the police didn't even respond to her when she told them that. Of course not, they didn't BELIEVE her.

Anyway, I'm getting off this entry, I want to play my video surveillance off the CD-ROM disc one more time JUST to be SURE it's on there and playable.

C'yall later.

Paycheck

I got to see today what I am going to be down in terms of reduced pay via reduced hours.
I'm guessing the company adjusted my tax rate and I also had 1 extra exemption.
I am down about $120 every 2 weeks. A $240 per month deficit, plus I am out a renter right now until I get Mary and her stuff out of there.

Just sends me back to the drawing board - what do I have every month coming in and what is going out. Where can I save more money - if anywhere - and how am I going to survive this. I'm hoping my dad will continue to sent the extra $100 - right now, that money is a portion of the bridge across the line - the line being make it on one side of the chasm, break it on the other.

I feel like I'm on the break side, but - I just have to do the numbers again and see what I really have coming in. No way can I survive without 3 tenants paying me every month or every 2 weeks, that's a granted. Tomorrow is court - the judge will have to decide who is right and who is wrong - and that may be a very difficult thing for that man to do considering Mary is a patent liar and has no conviction in lying, under oath, in a courtroom.

Regardless, she shot herself in the foot by stating on paper that "he shoved me" - I have all of my evidence ready to go, including the CD=Rom disk with the entire event on video. I have thought this thing through, and then last night, we did a round-table with people bringing up the things Mary has done. Just more fuel for the fire against her.

I am prepared for tomorrow. In the morning, I will go through all the papers again - spend and hour or two, however long it takes, to get myself in the mode that I need to be in. I'm not saying this is going to be a breeze, but - definitely I do feel good about my chances of winning and having the order sustained against her. Even more so that Karen is going to show up - she was here last night and went over everything that she witnessed while living here concerning Mary. The newer tenant - Mimi - said she would write up her statement and have it notarized. I guess I don't think it's admissable as evidence, but I'll try giving it to the judge and ask him to give it whatever weight that he thinks it should be given.

I don't envy the judge, that's a fact, in having to come up with a decision on this, but then again, that's what they get paid the big bucks for - and those Superior court judges are definitely making bank.

I am somewhat sick right now - my system apparently didn't like something I ate yesterday, and it's telling me ALL about it in the bathroom. I just don't feel good. Probably gonna go lay down for a while.

As for now? Today after work marks the start of a 4-day weekend. I don't really include tomorrow as a day off, though, going to court is hardly "entertaining". More like nerves and wondering who's going to win. Judges can be very intimidating, especially Superior Court judges. I don't fear them, it just gives me an edge of nerves that I don't really like to be experiencing. Whatever the judge rules, I'll accept - even if against me - and move on.

Today? Fairly slow day at work. One delivery and some pickups. I was downtown getting some transfers for orders to be delivered tomorrow - one of the downtown drivers is taking my place tomorrow and the driver out west is taking place of the other driver who is taking the day off as well. Anyway, it was VERY slow there - people milling around, blank looks on their faces.

Also, a rather odd thing happened in traffic today. I was taking that one delivery in the boss's pickup. I was not speeding, tailgating or otherwise showing agression on the road. I came up behind an old car.

The driver stuck his hand out the window and flipped me off.
I was totally bewildered by that, as I had done nothing to that driver. I was behind that driver, yes - but not tailgating.

Then, the driver of that car starting alternating back and forth his right and left hand turn signals. He then started doing other odd things with his rear lights. I saw an opening to get around him so I started to go into the center lane. He immediately straddle both lanes!! He then reached his hand out of the car, flipped me off again!

I honestly didn't have a clue why this guy was acting like this. I finally got around the guy after he entered a left hand turn lane - and proceeded to flip me off yet again!

I tell ya, things happen in traffic around here that just have no origin in common sense, respect or courtesy for the other driver. I was watching this guy - he was making faces and weird head movements, I don't wonder if a few screws were loose upstairs.

OTOH, I had NO incidents while driving the semi today! THAT is a miracle in itself! Almost always, people will cut me off and then slam on their brakes to make a turn. Or slam on their brakes to avoid hitting the car in front of them after they have dived in front of me, coming up at high speeds from beside me. Or whatever - those 2 are the most annoying things as they create a potentially hazardous and even deadly situation - for them, not me - but still.

Well, I'm fading fast, gonna get to my bedroom and take a snooze.

Thursday

An absolutely beautiful day this morning.
Sky is overcast, temp is nice, looks like it might rain.
Hope it does.
I always get to work early so I can sit and drink a cup of coffee or 3 and peruse the news on the internet before going to work.
Not much in the system in terms of deliveries - which is the first time this week there hasn't been a full day's worth of stuff in there. Just one delivery and that's it.
I am not going to work tomorrow so that I can digest all of the information I have, get it into my head and also write down notes on the volumes of different things I would like to address in court in order to prove my case. There IS a lot.

So, anyway, today is sort of my Friday, cepting' court is usually not a barrel of fun and games.

Amazingly, school is already out for the summer. Seems like it gets out earlier now but definitely starts back up earlier as well. I think last year school got out at the beginning of June, today is what, the 21st of May? Definitely, they ended the school year earlier than last year. I am going to ask Michael to see his final report card. It should quite interesting, to say the least. For as much school as he missed, I have no doubts that he must have failed several or even all classes.

The guy that did the news story - called again. I have not done any parties and really, don't plan to any time soon. I have been giving out food, but I have cut that back as well since my hours have been cut at work. I have not, however, stopped handing out meals. I had 2 people over 2 days ago. I'm just one of those persons that believes in giving back to the Lord - this is the way I'm doing it. The 2 that were over were definitely some hungry individuals. One was in a wheelchair - a paraplegic and the other was his friend. I made them some chicken and a mess of other stuff - they consumed nearly all of it.

In fact, I haven't had anyone over yet that wasn't extremely hungry. Many of these people do not get the opportunity to eat meat - which I have plenty of and which I still wish I had a freezer because there are some awesome deals this week on both chicken and ground beef. If my situation weren't so limited, I would definitely buy a freezer and fill that thing up. As it stands, keeping power on the power reader and paying the bills are the priority of the day.

Well, anyway, I need to get started at work here - hope you all have a great day!

Wednesday

Sometimes, my writings in this journal are nothing more than a vent - an exhaust system if you will - get the stuff out of my system so it doesn't build up too much.

For example, coming home from work today and finding the AC set at a temp has it at 70 degrees in here. Actually, the thermometer I have in the living room read 68 degrees. I am cooling - dogs - for - what purpose?

Michael informed me that one of the tenants comes out here after I leave and changes the setting on the thermostat.

Nice. Just sent a rather long email to both tenants explaining my situation. It matters not of a situation, there is absolutely NO good reason to set the AC that low during the heat of the day - WHEN NO-ONE IS HERE.

The gate - has been left unlocked several times recently this week and last. Michael does not have a key to the gate, therefore, the kid can't be blamed. Caleb isn't here during the week, can't blame him, either. AC - I know who is doing it. I simply reiterated my "threat" to put a locking cover over it.

Anyway, it just gets old having to deal with the same issues, over and over and over.

So, I was just sitting here reading a notice from the court about the hearing concerning the order of Protection. Mary had to write up her reason why the order should be dismissed.

She said in it that I just wanted to get her out the "easy" way and didn't want to have to go through the "regular" court process to evict her. Of course, I have the full-fledged paperwork where I DID go through the process with her ALREADY. That story isn't going to fly. She makes up a bunch of stuff that - I will be able to dismiss in court without a problem. I have all kinds of paperwork, yes, but I just remembered I wanted to get that police report.

So, I am going to call over there, like right now, even before finishing this, so I can get the report number - that department closes in 25 minutes.

No report. Just an incident number. The lady stated that if the judge wants more info, he can call the police and find out the officer's name and contact that officer.

Somehow, I doubt that will happen. I wanted a report showing the Mary had stated to the officers that I had shoved her, since I have the entire incident on CD-ROM, ready for the judge to review if necessary.

Cancel that - Mary wrote in her reply to the court that I had shoved her. I now have HER own written statement that I shoved her. NOW I have something to destroy any credibility she might have had with the court.

Well, a couple of hours have passed since starting this entry. Lots going on around here, including Karen showing up to discuss this matter. No coaching, Karen has "solid" views about Mary with her own, personal experience with her.

Now about today. Yesterday, the semi started pouring fuel out of the bypass/overflow tube. I was at a vendor's yard when it started that. It continued on at the main branch and then, of course, back at the yard.

This morning, I turned the semi on long before I had to leave - I wanted it to warm up and see if it was going to continue. I took the caps off the fuel tanks. Got up to running temperature - after a LONG time of idling. Then, I screwed the caps back on. A while later - fuel coming out of the bypass. No way I am driving a truck down the road, leaking fuel.

It started series of phone calls to find a rental truck to replace the semi because we had several deliveries going out today. Long story short: I ended up going to a Penske yard and driving off in a 2 axle tractor with an AUTOMATIC transmission. LOL. I do not do semi tractors with auto's in them. I am all about sticks. Autos are goofy at best, the upshift and downshift at mostly unwanted intervals. I plain don't like them.

My foot was automatically going for a clutch pedal that wasn't there. I float the gears, yes, but you have to use the clutch to get moving from a complete stop. And note that I said a complete stop. I could be going 2 miles an hour and be able to get the truck into gear without use of a clutch and without grinding gears.

"Floating" simply means the truck is moving, I don't care what speed - and you have to shift gears. The clutch is not used in such a maneuever. It's a learned "art" and many or most truck drivers learn it, certainly a vast majority of local drivers that are in city traffic all day long. I would go into it, but I am tired - it simply means the engine rpm's and the transmission are at the same "speed" - a thing a truck driver learns by looking at the tachometer - and eventually learns by sound - you shift gears without pushing in the clutch. You push the shifter into neutral and then into the gear you are going into.

Umm, anyway, I'm done for the night. I have found most of the paperwork for court on Friday, there are some things I need to print out from my work email tomorrow that Mary sent me at work.

And with that, -------- ............ G'nite!

Wednesday

Just a short update.
The ex-tenant finally wrote back - I thought she just didn't want to go to court and I wasn't going to get pushy about it, she don't wanna go, she don't wanna go.
Nothing of the sort, apparently.
She wrote back and said date/time/place.
She called me later and even offered to drive me over there!
This will be very good to have at least one person backing up my statements, as I don't wonder if Mary will show up with a gang as well.
I have other, documented evidence I will be prepared with as well.

Regardless, yesterday was 9 hours of straight driving, delivering, this that and the other thing, topped by a leaking fuel tank.
The overflow on one of the semi's tanks began dumping fuel yesterday after I filled the thing up. The tank was hot and there was a lot of pressure inside of the tank itself. I ended up having drain out a lot of fuel letting out the pressure (you know, just before the thing blows up?) and then even went as far as pumping some fuel out. I was downtown when I did that, when I got back to the yard here, same thing all over

It has had all night to cool down I'm hoping whatever happened it was just from filling it up and heat related.

Meanwhile, the sky is dark/overcast - a very welcomed sight. A nice rain would be awesome - though it might not help in making any deliveries today.

Ummm - that's enough for now.
Hope you all have a great day.

Monday

So, the sargeant called me back today. He listened to my rather detailed voice mail I left him, he was not sympathetic to the officer's statements towards me. I told this sargeant that the cop had told me Mary could return as many times as she wanted, totally contradictory to the paperwork. That the cop told me I couldn't pack her stuff in the kitchen up in boxes. That the cop said I couldn't enter her room.

The sargeant said he would deal with the officer, that if there are any disputes, it's totally a civil matter and would have to be handled in the courts. THAT'S what I wanted to hear. If I win against Mary in court this Friday, I will let her come over at the scheduled time, anyway, just so I can get her stuff out of here. But the notion that I can't do this that and the other thing is totally bogus, I knew it was when the cop was speaking it to me, nothing has changed my view of that now, and even more strengthed by this cop's superior telling me that I was right, he was wrong.

Nice. Went to get 6 44-pound bags of Iam's for $20.99 at a grand opening, as the lady had told me I could. I get there - sorry, we can only sell one bag at that price. Not exactly happy about a person from a store telling me one thing, and then driving all the way over there and finding out something else. I just bit my tongue, bought the bag of food and left.

I'm still tired. I slept okay last night, but there's just too much on my plate right now. I'm moving and grooving, no doubt, but today? It's HOT outside and I am waiting until a little later to try and get anything done - such as watering.

The remaining female tenant is concerned that if Mary has been smoking meth in the bedroom she is now in, what kind of toxicity remains in the room? Well, I read the article she sent me about meth smoke - it appears that it dissipates over time. It's been almost, what, 4 months since Mary occupied that bedroom?

That's it. I just don't have it in me to go on any further - I am going to go take a nap.

Even More

So, Mary shows up with the police, I'm not even here. I get the call - ladeedahdeedah - okay, I'll be home in 10 minutes.
Mary is standing out in the street - with a very foul look on her face.
Expected.
Police are congenial enough - sometimes expected, sometimes not.
They don't know landlord-tenant law, at least not these 2 individuals.
I did not try to educate them, they were saying things to me that I KNOW are not true.
They also said Mary can come back as many times as she wants to get her stuff.
Wrong.
In big, bold letters on the Order, verbatim:
LAW ENFORCEMENT STANDBY. Defendant may return once with law enforcement officer to obtain necessary personal belongings. Neither law enforcement nor this protective order can resolve conflicts over property, title, furniture, finances, real estate, or other ownership issues.

Pretty clear to me. My point: I don't want her thinking she can just show up and come and go as she pleases with police. She has had her one time, but the officers mandated that I agree to her returning again, next weekend. Just another issue to be brought up in court - but only if I win. If I lose, she can come back and occupy the room, legally. Which would be a horrific thought at this point.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to keep her stuff from her, it's just that Mary has made a lifestyle out of doing things her way, always, all the time. Truth, morals, law be damned, she can have her way and if she doesn't get it, she blathers on and on and on. Mary owes me $200 rent right now - if this situation gets any uglier, I am going to take her to court for it. But, if I can ever find 99% pure rubbing alcohol somewhere, I am going to do the drug tests off the walls in her room, have the test done and see what the results are. I'm fairly sure she was doing it in her bedroom, I'm absolutely sure she was doing it in the bathroom. The bathroom would be a hard point to prove - everyone else uses it, anyone could have done it. Point - force her to pay for the removal of that contaminent off the walls - and I have absolutely NO problem taking her to court on that point.

Anyway, she was here 45 minutes or so. They had 2 police here, but one left shortly after arrival, it was obvious I wasn't going to start trouble - and Mary's a lady that the male officer could easily take down on his own if she started stuff, so - only 1 was necessary.

It's unfortunate but true - I need 3 tenants right now, absolutely MUST have 3 paying tenants. I can't read minds, I can get gut instincts and such - it's never easy to tell about a person until they're actually in here. I can do background checks - again - there is no absolute for determining what a person is REALLY like until they're flesh and blood in your house, living there. I have to be tolerant of some things, most things really, but definitely not when it comes to drug use.

So, I wrote a room rental ad up the other day - but - those are usually not very productive because I have it listed for move-in date of June 1st. Since Mary is obviously moving out of here regardless of who wins in court on Friday, I am going to plan on a move-in date of 2 Wednesdays from now. See what kind of replies I might get with that. That's 3 days to do whatever necessary in that room to get it ready for a potential roommate, if I can find one for such a time-frame.

I find this kind of stuff to be very draining, to be honest. It's a pretty simple thing for a person that is moving out on good terms, but this is - the third time actually - that someone has been moved out of here on police terms.

1st was the tenant-from-hades. Long, long story. 2cd was the tenant that Mary initiated the fight with - Mary got the right wording on her Order of Protection, the other tenant did not, Mary won. And now Mary. I have many more move out without any problems excepting maybe George - the slob who I gave a notice to that he could either start cleaning his own dishes; or; I would clean them for him and charge him for maid service; or; he could leave. He chose to leave. It wasn't really that bad of a deal - but my room rental ads specifically, clearly state that I do not want slobs moving in here.

Onto another age-old issue. Michael's mother lost her job - though not due to absences and such. Another victim of the economy, she was laid-off from work. Their predicament, I am assuming, is better than it used to be: their housing is now paid for by the Federal Government. They don't, therefore, stand to end up on the streets. However, electricity and water are not free. They get food stamps, but by this time of the month, I assume them to be gone - that from ample, prior, personal experience with these people.

I do NOT find anything entertaining about this woman losing her job, despite the unbelievable, horrid history with them. In fact, much to the opposite, I fear the same things that used to happen in the past. I'll have to keep my eye on Michael - I do not want him taking stuff out of here to give to them. That doesn't sound right for a Christian - the Lord commands that if any man asks of you, give to them freely. He also declares that we are to feed the hungry. So, if I were asked, I would not turn them down. I am sure that doesn't set well with particular people on here, but I take the Word of God very seriously in my own personal life, and I will follow after what I believe are the Lord's teachings and commandments over what mankind might have in forms of opinions about any given matter.

Remember, forgiveness is one of the great keys to eternal life. Christ forgives us, we forgive "those that have transgressed against us". In my case, even Mary. Though that really isn't that difficult for me, Mary has a serious addiction problem and if she ever got off of it, her eyes would be opened. Meth addicts in particular are known for living a life of lies and denial. No, if I had a problem in the forgiveness department, it isn't even Michael's family. My real issues, that I struggle with, is the church that shunned me. New reader? WAY too long a story to go into here. Trust me, to be shunned by a church, when you are a Christian trying to follow hard after Christ, is probably the most devastating thing that can happen to you in your life, ESPECIALLY with a whole congregation of people that you have known for a decade.

I have absolutely no desire to go into any of that here and now. As for Mary, she is a very troubled person - and most of that trouble undoubtedly stems back to her husband killing himself. I have learned - not in school but out of much personal experience - that there are always roots to people's problems. Many times a traumatic event, or a series of events that lead up to a person having serious trouble in dealing with life. I can't even imagine what it must have felt like for Mary to discover her husband was dead, and not only was he dead, he killed himself. The questioning of oneself - why did he do it? Was I THAT bad? that kind of thing could go on forever if you let it.

Ummm, I just remembered that I have a half ham in there that has a sell-by date of today. I must get that thing cooked, so, I must get off of here and get it into the oven. I refuse to lose good food to expiration dates. Anyway, I made my trip to Home Depot and got the new double-key entry. There was a woman there that was having a bad day. I don't know what happened to her, but - she was sitting on one of the self checkout counters, her foot covered with a cloth, blood spilling onto the floor. I am assuming that with all the employees standing around, they were waiting for paramedics/fire to show up and treat her wound. With THAT much blood, I would expect stitches. She was an older woman, too, I hate seeing people going through stuff like that.

That's it for me, for now anyway. I have been writing alot lately, mostly a release for me but I do appreciate the comments.

So Here We Go

I called the police this morning, I decided that the only good route for this was to have certified of Mary's non-compliance with the order.
The officer said that the department that does that over the phone was closed today, that I could either have an officer come out right now, or wait until the morning and call it in.
It sounded like in this case, since she didn't make any real threat, it would be documented and sent to the court. Okay, well, I thought, I'll just wait until tomorrow morning.

I NO MORE than hung up the phone than it rang again: Mary. I immediately informed her that she was violating the Order and that I could have her arrested just for calling me. I started telling her that she should have had a friend call and that I would let the friend come over and that person could get her clothes - but she hung up on me.

I am not going anywhere today. Well, at least not for long. I already went and had my propane tank filled - I want to do as much cooking outside as possible to keep the heat levels down in the house, and I like grilled foods better, anyway. I have to go buy a double-deadbolt for the rear door. Anyone can just reach in through the doggy door right now and open up the door with no problem. With the threat of Mary - I cannot leave that that way for the coming week. I think Mary did hear the part about me telling her she should call the police if SHE wants to come over here, just as the police informed her, I heard them telling her that.

My documentation for past events has been located and I will spend portions of today going through that stuff to get out the pertinent documents. I have not heard back from Karen - perhaps asking too much for her to go to court? Dunno. Sometimes, though, she doesn't read email for days at a time.

I have accomplished nothing more than getting some groceries and getting the propane tank filled today - but there's still time to get other stuff done. Just that my mind was filled with this issue of whether to report Mary or not - definitely and obviously made up my mind to go ahead and do that.

As for all of you- hope you have a great and peaceful Sunday.

Jail?

I went to see Star Trek again with Ken.
So, anyway, I shut my cellphone ringer off, of course, for the show. Nothing worse than people's cellphones ringing in theatres - well, there is something worse - people taking the call and actually talking.

Star Trek is a great show, I highly recommend it even to non-Trekkies - it's a much different format and - well it was cool. Won't be going to the theatres again for quite a while, sort of my summer vacation. Really - it is.

Anyway, I get out of the theatres, go to Fry's and buy some dog food.

Get home, look at my phone. There is a missed call on it.
I call the number back on my home phone, it's Mary. She didn't answer.
MARY CALLED ME - WITH AN ORDER OF PROTECTION?!!!
Worse, she left a message! She informed me in this message that she doesn't have any clothes for work and "you need to call me back".

The Order I have against her includes NO - CONTACT - not by phone, email, nothing. I could call the police, right now, show them the number and let them hear the message, and then have her arrested. She would sit in jail until Monday when a judge would probably release her - whether with bail or own recognizance, I dunno.

Mary's tones towards me is what causes me to want to just be totally brazen towards her. She didn't even ask nicely, it was like mommy talking to her offspring.

I'm tempted, I'll tell you that. A person that is willing to break an order of protection - just defy the judge and the court - is a person that has several screws loose, at best. It states CLEARLY on the order NO CONTACT. I'm actually shocked that she crossed that bridge, really, I am.

I'm really not sure if I want her to spend the weekend in jail or not. As I said, it was the WAY she said it - a directive, I MUST get her clothes, I NEED to call her back. If it were me, I would have had a friend call - a friend that can be nice regardless, and have that friend go over and get the clothes for me. That's what I would have done.

What say ye?

Saturday

I went to bed early last night and just got up 30 minutes ago. That's about 10 hours of sleep. I needed it badly after the ordeal Thursday night/early Friday morning. I'm just about to head outside and get some watering done - the temps are heating up considerable and more watering will need to be done.

However, even with me doing more watering, the amount of water being used on a monthly basis will undoubtedly go way down without Mary here. She would sit out there and let the hose run for literally hours. I am pretty good at keeping plants alive and healthy - they don't need NEAR as much water as she was dumping on them. I had another $83 water bill come in yesterday - well higher and normal.

So, I just wrote a note to Karen - the lady that moved in here temporarily while she could find herself a house to live in - and asked her to show up to court as a witness against Mary. Mary had admitted to Karen about her meth use and also Mary started QUITE a lot of trouble with Karen. I'm guessing Karen will jump at the chance to show up in court and let it all out before the judge. I NEED a witness, there's no doubting about that. I would ask Justine - but she didn't leave on great terms, either. Mary had her put out with a restraining order as well. Although, I can say that it's human nature to want revenge, it wouldn't surprise me if Justine would show up as well just to cause any kind of trouble she can against Mary.

But I think I'll just wait and see if Karen will go. Karen is older and can show more calm, wisdom and respect than Justine, who is like 21 years old, I think.

Anyway, we're going to see Star Trek again this morning. Ken wanted to go twice - I paid last time, he's paying this time. Caleb wants to go as well. It is a great movie and one that I don't mind seeing twice - a thing a rarely ever do.

I have projects to do around here as well, though I also have to go through a pile of paper and pull out pertinent paperwork for court on Friday - something I am not going to just let go into this coming week. Bring all that paperwork in here, mull through it and find everything.

That's it for now - I'm still trying to wake up and I'm going outside to get the watring done before it gets too hot out there.
Have a great day!
